2012 BMW Z4 Overview

The 2012 BMW Z4, part of the second generation of Z-series roadsters, is a posh RWD sports car known for its engaging performance and refined luxury. It is available in three trims: sDrive28i, sDrive35i, and sDrive35is. The base model features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine providing 240 horsepower, whereas the upper trims offer a beefy 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with 300 and 335 horsepower respectively. All models come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, with the option of an eight-speed automatic for the sDrive28i or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic for the sDrive35i and sDrive35is. Key features include 8-way power seats, adaptive xenon headlights, Bluetooth, and BMW's iDrive infotainment system with a 6.5-inch display. Safety equipment includes standard antilock disc brakes and traction and stability control, but also optional features like BMW Assist, which includes automatic crash notification, an emergency SOS button and roadside assistance.
