The ninth-generation 2012 Honda Civic stands as an affordable, efficient, compact car. The lineup offered five variations: Sedan, Coupe, HF (high fuel efficiency trim), Si and Hybrid, each with a different powertrain. Engine options range from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder in the Sedan and Coupe to a 2.4-liter in the sporty Si, with horsepowers ranging from 110hp in the Hybrid to 201hp in the Si. A five-speed automatic is standard with an option for a five-speed manual in the base LX model. Standard features include stability control, anti-lock brakes, and six airbags. Some models also get updated infotainment with Bluetooth and a 5-inch central display. However, the 2012 model marks a less favorable period for the Civic, criticized for its bland design and less impressive interior quality.
