The 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS is a part of the second-generation CLS Class. It’s considered a four-door coupe, sporting a sleek design to its exterior. The vehicle is available in two trims: the CLS550 and the high-performance CLS63 AMG. The CLS550 comes with a 4.6-liter V8 engine offering 402 horsepower while the CLS63 AMG boasts a 5.5-liter V8 turbo engine with 518 horsepower, which can be increased to 550 horsepower with the optional AMG Performance Package. Both the trims use a 7-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the CLS550, with 4MATIC all-wheel drive available, while the CLS63 AMG is rear-wheel drive only. The CLS standard feature list includes an 8-inch display with the COMAND electronic interface system, in-dash six-CD changer, and Navigation system. Standard safety features include stability and traction control, antilock brakes, front knee airbags, front side airbags, rear side airbags, full-length curtain-type airbags, and Mercedes-Benz's mbrace emergency telematics.
