The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK, part of the third generation R172 series introduced this year, is a prime example of posh sportiness. It's a luxury two-seat roadster that offers three separate engine options — the base SLK250 with a 201-hp 1.8L turbocharged I4, the SLK350 with a 302-hp 3.5L V6, and the high-performance SLK55 AMG with a 415-hp 5.5L V8. All come with a 7-speed automatic transmission, while the SLK250 additionally offers a 6-speed manual. The SLK features rear-wheel drive, an attractive retractable hardtop, and 'AIRSCARF' system that blows warm air at neck level for open-top comfort. Key safety features include Attention Assist drowsy driver monitor, Pre-Safe, anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, and numerous airbags. You'll find an infotainment system with a 5.8-inch screen, Bluetooth, and optional Harman Kardon sound system along with navigation and SiriusXM.
