The 2012 Nissan Altima represents the fourth generation of the Altima lineup. It's available in both sedan and coupe body styles, each offering two trims: base 2.5, 2.5 S, V6-powered 3.5 SR, and 3.5 SR for the coupe. The sedan's base model receives power from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 175 horsepower, while the coupe's 3.5-liter V6 outputs 270 horsepower. Both engines connect to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Essential safety features encompass front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain-type airbags, and stability control. For infotainment, it includes keyless entry/ignition, a power driver seat, and an upgraded sound system on certain sub-trim levels. Notably, the 2012 year model didn't see any significant changes.
