2012 RAM 2500 Overview

The 2012 RAM 2500 is a heavy-duty truck known for its powerful capabilities. Introduced in the fourth generation of the RAM series, the 2500 has two engine options – a standard 5.7L V8 with 383 horsepower, and a 6.7L turbo-diesel I6 with 350 horsepower. The transmission is either an automatic 6-speed or a manual 6-speed depending on the drivetrain configuration, which has options of either Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) or Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD). Notable features of the 2012 model are the standard safety features including anti-lock brakes (ABS), stability control, and an array of airbags. Infotainment consists of an AM/FM stereo with MP3 player. Trims available range from the base-level ST, mid-level SLT and luxury Laramie and Laramie Longhorn editions.
