The 2012 Subaru Tribeca is a midsize crossover SUV from the fourth generation of its line. Only one trim level was available that year, the Subaru Tribeca 3.6R Limited. The vehicle comes with a 3.6-liter flat 6 engine generating 256 horsepower, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. All Tribeca models feature all-wheel drive as standard. The interior was lauded for its upscale feel and was equipped with a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system that included satellite radio. Heated front seats, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rearview camera, and a moonroof were other standout features. While it did not excel in fuel efficiency, the Tribeca was noted for its comfortable ride and tight handling. Performance wise, despite its relaxed power delivery, it still offered adequate highway passing power. As for safety, it came equipped with antilock disc brakes, stability control, front seat side-impact airbags, and side curtain airbags that cover the first two rows of seats.
