The 2012 Toyota Tundra is a full-size pickup truck available in three body styles, and, importantly, it's part of the second generation introduced in 2007. Buyers have a choice of three engines: a 4.0-liter V6 with 270 horsepower, a 4.6-liter V8 with 310 horsepower, and a 5.7-liter V8 with 381 horsepower, all paired with a robust 6-speed automatic transmission. All trims come equipped with Toyota's Star Safety System, which includes Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology. The infotainment includes a CD player and MP3/WMA playback capability, six speakers, SiriusXM capability, auxiliary audio jack, and USB port with iPod connectivity. While not as technologically advanced as current models, the 2012 Tundra earned its reputation as a reliably strong workhorse from this period.
