The 2012 Volkswagen Beetle marks the introduction of a new generation, taking on a shape that is a bit more reminiscent of the classic Beetle. This front-wheel-drive car comes available with two engine options, a 2.5-liter inline-5 engine with 170 horsepower and the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 with 200 horsepower. Both models come paired to a standard 6-speed automatic transmission, with a 6-speed manual available on the Turbo model. Trim options include the midrange 2.5L and the sporty Turbo. Highlighted features include an optional Fender premium audio system and sports seats in the Turbo variant. The Beetle also boasts safety elements such as stability and traction control, antilock disc brakes, front side airbags and side curtain airbags.
