2012 Volkswagen Routan Overview

The 2012 Volkswagen Routan is a seven-passenger minivan that was offered in S, SE, SEL, and SEL Premium trims. It was powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine, producing 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The interior featured three-row seating, touchscreen navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a rear-seat entertainment system in higher-end trims. Standard safety features included ABS, traction and stability control, full-length curtain-type airbags, front side airbags, and a driver-side knee airbag. The 2012 model didn’t have significant changes compared to its predecessor, apart from minor equipment shuffling among trims.
