The 2013 BMW X1 is part of the model's first-generation lineup and comes in three trims: 28i, 35i and M Sport Line. The standard engine for 28i is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder placing out 240 hp, whereas the 35i carries a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 300 hp. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. A rear-wheel drive is standard for the 28i while the 35i features an all-wheel-drive system.
