The 2013 Mazda CX-5 is part of the compact crossover's first generation. It is available in three trims: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The standard engine was a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 155 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission and offered in both FWD and AWD. Key safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, and side curtain-type airbags that cover both seating rows. For infotainment, it includes a standard AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 playback capability, USB port, and an auxiliary input jack. This pioneer model year of the CX-5 marked Mazda's complete transition to 'Skyactiv' fuel-efficiency technologies and introduced the brand's KODO design language.
