The 2013 Subaru BRZ debuted as a performance-oriented sports car with a 2.0-liter flat-four engine producing 200 horsepower at 7,000 rpm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. It also introduced Subaru’s new rear-wheel-drive sports car platform. It was available in two trims: the Premium and Limited, with the latter offering extra features including heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Keyless Access & Start, and Alcantara seat trim with leather bolsters. Safety features included front and side airbags, stability control, and an anti-lock braking system. Infotainment was handled by a 6.1" display with navigation, Bluetooth, and XM Satellite Radio.
