The 2013 Volkswagen Jetta is an affordable, efficient mid-size sedan that comfortably seats five. The generation of this model (sixth generation) spans from 2011 to 2018. Five engine options were offered including a 2.0L 115-hp four-cylinder, a 2.5L 170-hp five-cylinder, a 2.0L 140-hp TDI turbo diesel, a 2.0L 200-hp turbocharged four-cylinder for the GLI, and a hybrid powertrain that boasted a combined 170 horsepower. Transmission options included a 5 or 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic, with varying drivetrains: front-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive. Available trims were S, SE, SEL, TDI, GLI, and Hybrid. A key safety feature, the Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), was standard on all models, locking the doors, turning off fuel pump, and activating hazards in case of a collision. The infotainment system got an upgrade for 2013, now featuring a larger standard 6.5-inch touch-screen, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were not available.
