The 2014 Acura TL marked the end of the fourth-generation for this midsize luxury sedan, before being replaced by the TLX in 2015. Offered in two trims - Base and SH-AWD, it houses either a 3.5L V6 engine (280 horsepower) for the front-wheel drive base model or a 3.7L V6 (305 horsepower) for the all-wheel drive SH-AWD version. Both engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, while the SH-AWD also offered a six-speed manual option. Standard features included a power moonroof, leather seats, an 8-speaker stereo, satellite radio, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The TL also featured optional tech amenities like a larger touch screen, a 10-speaker ELS surround-sound audio system, and navigation. Safety features included six airbags, anti-lock brakes, an electronic stability system, and Acura's advanced engineering body structure to absorb and distribute crash energy in a collision.
