The 2014 BMW M5 is a part of the car’s fifth-generation lineup. This model year plays host to a 4.4-liter V8 engine that outputs a prodigious 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the rear wheels by default, but customers have the option to upgrade to a 6-speed manual transmission at no additional cost. The 2014 M5 comes with an updated standard navigation system, a touchpad interface, simplified iDrive menus and a slight increase in trunk space. New safety features for this year include standard LED headlights and options for lane departure warning, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection and active blind-spot monitoring. The highlight of this vehicle is its Competition Package that boasts 15 extra horses, sharper steering, revised suspension tuning, and special alloy wheels.
