The 2014 BMW X3 is part of the vehicle's second generation. It is a luxury compact SUV and comes in two trims, the xDrive28i and xDrive35i. Both trims have all-wheel drive (AWD) and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The xDrive28i trim has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower, while the xDrive35i delivers 300 horsepower via its 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6. On the tech front, the X3 features a 6.5-inch infotainment system display, with optional Navigation system that includes an 8.8-inch display and a touchpad iDrive controller. Safety features include antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length curtain-type airbags, active front seat head restraints, stability control and hill descent control. The vehicle received a mild face-lift for 2014 that included new twin-circular headlights and a more detailed kidney grille.
