The 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, part of the first-generation model that debuted in 2009, is a large three-row crossover SUV. It provided a choice of FWD or AWD and was powered by a 3.6L V6 engine that pumped out 281 horsepower in LS and LT trims; LTZ trim got a slight bump to 288 horsepower due to dual exhaust. Paired with a six-speed automatic, this able-bodied vehicle had competitive fuel economy for its class. Its spacious and comfortable seating included a third row that could actually accommodate adults. Safety features included an available forward collision alert, lane departure warning, and the standard StabiliTrak electronic stability control system. Its infotainment system featured a 6.5-inch screen with optional navigation, and also offered Chevrolet’s MyLink system.
