The 2014 Ford Escape is a compact SUV that is part of the vehicle's second generation. It is available in three trims: S, SE, and Titanium. Engine options include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 168 horsepower, or you can opt for a turbocharged 1.6-liter or 2.0-liter four-cylinder, producing 178 hp and 240 hp, respectively. Each is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Inside, the Escape offers features like Ford's SYNC - an infotainment system with a 4.2-inch display, keyless entry, and Ford’s MyKey, which allows parents to set driving limits for teen drivers. Safety features include a rearview camera as standard, as well as optional features such as parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and cross-traffic alert. The 2014 model did not introduce any major changes, retaining the major updates from the vehicle's overhaul in 2013.
