2014 Ford Focus Overview

The 2014 Ford Focus, heralded as the marvel of the compact car segment, is the third generation of the Focus lineup. Available in sedan and hatchback variates, it offers three engines across its four trims, which include S, SE, Titanium and ST. Under the hood, the standard Focus features a 2.0L inline-4 engine that delivers 160 horsepower, except for the performance-oriented ST which packs a punchy 252-hp turbocharged 2.0L inline-4 engine. All engines are mated with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission. The Focus utilizes front wheel drive drivetrain across all models. Notably, the 2014 model year saw the debut of the electric version, Focus Electric, equipped with a 107-kilowatt electric drive motor. Inside, Ford's SYNC system with voice recognition, Bluetooth, a USB port and a four-speaker audio system is standard; while higher trims offer a touchscreen infotainment system, navigation, and a ten-speaker Sony sound system. Safety features such as a rearview camera and Ford's MyKey system, which helps parents set limits for teen drivers, are notable add-ons.
