The 2014 Hyundai Elantra marks an update for the fifth-generation of the model, featuring a fresher exterior design and improved interior materials. It offers three trims — SE, Limited, and Sport. Powered by a choice of two engines, a 1.8L four-cylinder engine producing 145 hp or a more powerful 2.0L four-cylinder on the Sport trim generating 173 hp. All trims pair their engines with a 6-speed automatic transmission, with a 6-speed manual transmission available on the SE and Sport trims. The Elantra's comprehensive safety suite includes ABS, stability control, front-seat side airbags, and side curtain airbags. Several tech features heighten the ease of driving, including a touchscreen interface, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, and Hyundai's Blue Link system. It also offered nice packages for premium features such as leather seats, sunroof, and navigation system.
