The 2014 MINI Clubman is part of the first generation of MINI Clubman models redesigned to be larger and more practical than the standard Cooper. The vehicle comes in three trims: Base, S, and John Cooper Works. The Base variant is equipped with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine producing 121 horsepower, while the S and John Cooper Works variants boast turbocharged versions with 181 and 208 horsepower respectively. All trims are front-wheel drive with a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic. Key safety features include anti-lock brakes, stability control, and front-impact, side-impact, overhead airbags and a security system. The car features a quirky 'club door' on the passenger side that opens rearward for better access to the rear seats and split barn doors at the back. Inside, the Clubman’s cabin shares the Cooper’s retro design aesthetic, with plenty of tech features including MINI’s infotainment system.
