The 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer belongs to this model's ninth generation and is lauded for its pleasant drive and solid engine options. It comes in four trims: ES, SE, GT, and Ralliart. The standard powertrain in the ES trim is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 148 horsepower, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Lancer SE and GT get a slightly more potent 2.4L engine with 168 hp, while the Ralliart version features a turbocharged 2.0L that churns out an exciting 237 hp. All Lancers come with front-wheel drive, except for the SE and Ralliart, which feature Mitsubishi’s all-wheel control (AWC) system. Standard tech features include a 6.1-inch touchscreen interface and a rearview camera. Unfortunately, it's interior and fuel efficiency have been cited as less competitive.
