2014 Nissan Frontier Overview

The 2014 Nissan Frontier is a midsize pickup truck that balances utility, comfort and affordability. The Frontier is available in five trims: S, SV, Desert Runner, PRO-4X and SL. Power comes from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 152 horsepower or a much stronger 4.0-liter V6 with 261 horsepower. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or automatic, and a six-speed manual is also offered on V6 models. The PRO-4X and four-cylinder models with the automatic transmission are available in 4WD. Key features range from a basic AM/FM/CD audio system on S models to Nissan’s Connect infotainment system with a 5.8-inch touchscreen, navigation and mobile apps on upper-level trims. Notable changes that made 2014 a superior model year for the Frontier include an improved equipment package and enhanced fuel economy.
