The 2014 Subaru Outback is a rugged, all-wheel-drive wagon that offers plenty of utility and comfort. This model adopts the fifth-generation blueprint and happens to be the last model year before a major redesign. The Outback is available in three trims: the base 2.5i, Premium, and Limited. Both the 2.5i Premium and 2.5i Limited feature a 173-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and come with either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission. The 3.6R Limited comes with a 256-hp 3.6-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed automatic. Noteworthy features include Subaru's EyeSight driver assist system and an infotainment setup headlined by a 7-inch touchscreen with hands-free text messaging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Aha smartphone integration.
