The 2015 Ford Explorer is the fifth generation of this midsize SUV. The lineup includes a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 horsepower as standard, while a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder (240 horsepower) and a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 (365 horsepower) are optional. Both six-cylinder engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and offer four-wheel drive. The Explorer is split into four trims: base, XLT, Limited, and Sport. Advanced technology includes the MyFord Touch infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, two 4.2-inch displays, and hands-free calling. Safety features include rear parking sensors and a rearview camera as standard, while adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning are optional.
