The 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA is part of the first generation of its lineup, positioned as an entry-level luxury subcompact SUV. It comes with two trims: GLA 250 and the sportier AMG GLA 45. The GLA 250 outputs 208 horsepower from its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, while the AMG GLA 45 AMG boasts a beefier 355hp output from the same engine size, enhanced by AMG engineering. Both trims are equipped with a seven-speed automated manual (dual-clutch) transmission. While front-wheel drive comes standard for the GLA 250, both trims offer Mercedes-Benz's 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system as an option. For infotainment, the GLA features a 5.8-inch display, mbrace2 connectivity, and optional Apple CarPlay. Key safety features include Attention Assist (drowsiness monitor), collision prevention assist and optional blind-spot and lane-keeping assist system.
