The 2015 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible strategically blends modern technology with nostalgic design elements that recall its heritage. Running on a 170-hp 1.8-liter turbo and optional 210-hp 2.0-liter turbo engines paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, it provides nimble performance and stellar fuel economy. Three trim levels – 1.8T, R-Line, and TDI – allow drivers to choose their desired features. It's FWD and comes with safety measures like antilock disc brakes, traction and stability control, and an intelligent crash response system that automatically unlocks the doors, disconnects the battery terminal from the alternator, and turns on the hazard lights in certain types of collisions. Infotainment offerings include a touchscreen interface, Bluetooth connectivity, and VW's Car-Net telematics system. While the Beetle retains much of its iconic design, the 2015 model year also saw the reintroduction of a classic paint color: Pure White.
