The 2015 Volkswagen Golf represents the seventh generation of the model. It comes in two trims: TSI and TDI. The TSI Golf is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the TDI Golf features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine with 150 horsepower paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. All models feature FWD as standard. Key safety attributes include anti-lock disc brakes and stability, as well as traction control, and a suite of airbags including front side, side curtain, and a driver knee airbag. A post-collision braking system feature automatically applies the brakes after an impact to reduce the chances of a secondary crash. The in-car technology includes a 5.8-inch touchscreen interface with VW's Car-Net telematics system, Bluetooth, and audio connectivity.
