The 2016 BMW 2 Series is a great example of a luxury small car, available in two body styles: coupe and convertible. It is part of the model's first generation and came in two trim levels: the 228i and M235i, with the latter offering sportier performance. The 228i featured a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 240 horsepower, while the M235i had a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine kicking out 320 horsepower. Both engines were mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a six-speed manual available as an option. Rear-wheel drive was standard, all-wheel drive being optional. BMW included notable features such as automatic climate control, a sunroof, and a 6.5-inch display with iDrive infotainment system. Safety features included anti-lock brakes, stability and traction control, and multiple airbags. No significant model-year changes were reported from the previous year.
