The sixth-generation 2016 BMW 7 Series embodies sheer luxury. This full-size sedan lineup includes 740i, 750i, and 760i trims, all offering BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system. Both 740i and 750i trims have a rear-wheel drive as well. Under the hood, 740i has a 320-hp inline-six engine, while 750i boasts a 445-hp V8. The 760i is powered by an impressive 601-hp V12. Internationally, diesel and plug-in hybrid variants are also available. The standard eight-speed automatic transmission ensures a smooth ride. The infotainment system features a 10.2-inch display with gesture control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless device charging, and a Harman Kardon surround-sound system. Standard safety features include a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control. The 7 Series significantly received a design overhaul this year, including a lighter body structure through extensive use of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic.
