The 2016 Ford Taurus is an upscale full-size sedan from the sixth generation, sold in SE, SEL, Limited and high-performance SHO trims. It comes with front-wheel drive as standard, and the option of an all-wheel drive is available for the SEL and Limited trims and standard for the SHO trim. Engine options include a 3.5-litre V6 offering 288 horsepower, and there's the EcoBoost variants: a 2.0-litre four-cylinder (240 horsepower) and a 3.5-litre V6 (365 horsepower) for the SHO trim. These are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Taurus offers SYNC 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Safety features include standard stability control, anti-lock brakes and six airbags, while optional safety are forward-collision warning and blind-spot monitors.
