2016 Ford Transit Connect Overview

The 2016 Ford Transit Connect is a versatile and practical van available in two body lengths and two wheelbases. Two engines are offered: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 169 horsepower, and a more efficient 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 178 horsepower. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The Transit Connect is available in XL, XLT, and Titanium trim levels, each loaded with useful features for businesses and families alike. Key safety features include a rearview camera, forward collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, and Ford's MyKey system which allows owners to set speed and volume limits. A 4.2-inch central display screen with Ford's Sync voice control technology is standard, while a 6.5-inch touchscreen with navigation and SYNC 3 infotainment system is optional. The 2016 model saw some updates, notably to the infotainment system, which received improved voice recognition and swipe gestures.
