Part of Honda's tenth generation Civic line, the 2016 Honda Civic comes in sedan, coupe, and hatchback body styles with multiple trim levels. Trims include LX, EX, EX-T, EX-L, and Touring, each with a varying degree of luxuries and amenities. Most 2016 Civics are powered by a 2.0L inline-4 engine, producing 158 horsepower. EX-T, EX-L, and Touring trims come with a 1.5L turbocharged inline-4 cranking out 174 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with an optional continuously variable transmission (CVT) available. Honda's Sensing suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist, is optional on certain trims and standard on Touring. The infotainment system has been one of the highlights, with a standard 5-inch display in most trims and a larger 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in higher trims. Key model-year changes include a complete redesign, improved fuel efficiency, and new safety features.
