The 2016 Jeep Renegade, a member of the model's first generation, is a compact SUV that is as at home in city streets as it is tackling tough terrain. It offers four trims: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and the off-road-focused Trailhawk. All are available with either 4x2 or 4x4 configurations. Engine options include a turbocharged 1.4-Litre inline-four that produces 160 horsepower or a naturally aspirated 2.4-Litre inline-four with 180 horsepower. Both engines pair with nine-speed automatic transmission, except the base engine which pairs with a six-speed manual. Notable features include advanced tech such as a Uconnect infotainment system with a 5-inch touchscreen (upgradable to 6.5 inches), and safety features including available forward collision and lane departure warnings. One of the unique aspects of the 2016 Renegade is its combination of off-road capability with efficient fuel economy, fulfilling Jeep's commitment to adventure and practicality.
