The Optima offers a selection of three engines, including a fuel-efficient 1.6L turbo-four with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission producing 178 horsepower, a standard 2.4L inline four-cylinder delivering 185 horsepower, and a powerful 2.0L turbo-four generating 245 horsepower; all connecting to a six-speed automatic. The front-wheel drive Optima comes in five trims: LX, LX 1.6T, EX, SX, and top-of-the-range SX Limited. The standard infotainment system boasts a 5-inch screen, Siri Eyes Free, and Bluetooth, with options for a larger 8-inch screen, navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Key safety features include standard rearview camera, and available blind-spot monitoring, rear park assist, and autonomous emergency braking. The 2016 Optima brought a stronger body structure and a quieter, more comfortable ride than its predecessors.
