The 2016 MINI Hardtop, a third-generation model, comes in two- or four-door variations. Both feature FWD with an available sporty John Cooper Works (JCW) performance trim and an optional six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. The standard engine is a 134-horsepower turbocharged 1.5 liter three-cylinder engine. The S trim increases to a 2.0-liter turbo-4 that pumps out 189 horsepower, while the JCW trim pushes it further to 228 horsepower. Notable features are a 6.5 or 8.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, rearview camera, and automatic climate control. Specific models receive Forward Collision Warning with Automatic Emergency Braking.
