The 2016 Porsche 911, part of the 991.1 generation, is an iconic high-performance vehicle known worldwide for its blend of luxury, speed and handling. Seven engines were offered, including a 350-hp 3.4L flat-six in the base Carrera and a 560-hp 3.8L twin-turbo flat-six in the 911 Turbo S. Transmission options extended to either a seven-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (PDK). The 911 was available in rear-wheel or all-wheel drive across various trims such as the base Carrera, Targa, GTS, GT3, and the Turbo S. Infotainment perks included a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, and safety features consisted of stability control, antilock brakes, and also available was the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) for optimal illumination. Notable for this year was the last of the naturally aspirated GT3 RS models and the introduction of the track-focused GT3 RS 4.0.
