The 2016 Toyota Corolla, part of the model's 11th generation, is a front-wheel-drive compact sedan known for its reliability and cost-effectiveness. Buyers can choose from four trims: L, LE, LE Eco, and S, each powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 132 horsepower, except for the LE Eco which boosts power output to 140 hp. A four-speed automatic, a CVT automatic, and a six-speed manual transmission are available. Key safety features include standard stability control, antilock brakes, eight airbags, and a rearview camera in select trims. The Entune infotainment system, featuring a 6.1-inch touchscreen, comes standard in all trims except the base L, and is available with options such as smartphone integration and satellite radio. The Corolla received a minor refresh for 2016, with a new continuously variable transmission and an updated Entune audio system.
