The 2016 Toyota Prius c is a compact hybrid known for its impressive fuel efficiency. Belonging to the first-generation Prius c lineup, it comes equipped with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor, delivering a combined rating of 99 horsepower. Its transmission is seamless, thanks to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The hatchback offers standard front-wheel drive (FWD). The Prius c can be had in four trim levels: One, Two, Three, and Four. Standard features exist aplenty, including a 6.1-inch touch-screen display, a USB port, Bluetooth, voice recognition, and automatic climate control. From the safety standpoint, it comes with nine airbags, along with Toyota’s Star Safety System, which includes vehicle stability control, traction control, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and smart-stop technology. For 2016, Toyota added an option for a power sunroof on the Three trim, and Two-tone interior fabric is now standard on the Four trim.
