The 2016 Volkswagen CC is a sleek four-door coupe of the second generation. It comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.0L turbo-four generating 200 horsepower or a 3.6L V6 that provides 280 horsepower. The turbo-four engine is mated to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while the V6 comes with a six-speed conventional automatic. The CC is available in front-wheel drive. For 2016, the base trim comes standard with bi-xenon headlights, adaptive headlights, LED taillights, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated eight-way power front seats with driver lumbar adjustment, and leatherette premium vinyl upholstery. Infotainment features include a 6.3-inch touchscreen, a navigation system, and VW's Car-Net smartphone integration, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On the safety front, a rearview camera is standard while advanced features like adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, and automated emergency braking are available on higher trims.
