The 2016 Volvo XC90 represents the second generation of Volvo's luxury SUV. It comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that runs on both turbocharging and supercharging for a total output of 316 horsepower with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard AWD. The T8 trim levels take the engine a step further by introducing a plug-in hybrid system that increases the power output to 400 horsepower. Safety has been given a prime focus in the XC90 with features like pilot assist, auto brake at intersections, and a run-off road protection feature. The SUV is equipped with a standard 9.0-inch touchscreen hosting the Sensus infotainment system having Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The redesign for this generation emphasizes luxury with a capacious and high-quality cabin, marking a significant upgrade over the previous model.
