2017 Ford Taurus Overview

The 2017 Ford Taurus is part of the sixth-generation, showcasing an epitome of comfort and power for full-size sedans. It comes with two engine options: the standard 288-hp 3.5L V6 engine on SE, SEL and Limited trims, and a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower while the high-performance SHO version boasts a 365-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6. All versions use a six-speed automatic transmission. The base SE trim is front-wheel drive, while all-wheel drive is an option for the SEL and Limited trims and standard in SHO. Inside, it features a well-appointed and comfortable interior with supportive seats. High-tech features include an 8-inch touchscreen powered by Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system which is compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Standard safety features include a rearview camera and Ford's MyKey system. Available safety features include blind spot monitoring, active park assist, and forward collision warning.
