The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is part of the car's ninth generation running from 2007 to 2017. The compact sedan comes in three trims: ES 2.0, ES 2.4 AWC, and SE 2.4 AWC. The ES 2.0 is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 148 horsepower, while the other two trims use a 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 168 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on the ES 2.0, and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is optional; all other models come exclusively with the CVT. Notable features include a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a four-speaker stereo system, HD Radio, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a rearview camera. Higher trims offer heated front seats, a sunroof and few more upscale features. It doesn't have many of the advanced safety features that are common in many rivals, but all-wheel drive is available, which is rare for the class.
