The 2017 Subaru Outback is a Station Wagon from its fifth generation lineups. It is powered by a choice of a 175-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 256-hp 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine, both of which are paired with a standard all-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The model comes in six trim levels namely, 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited and 3.6R Touring. Some of its well-reputed features include Starlink Multimedia system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 6.2-inch or 7-inch touchscreen display. The Outback maintains Subaru's commitment to safety with its EyeSight suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and sway warning, pre-collision braking, and pre-collision throttle management. For 2017, Touring trims were added and the Outback saw the introduction of Reverse Automatic Braking and High Beam Assist safety technologies.
