The 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan is a compact SUV from the model's first generation. It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine offering 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. Tiguan is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and is offered in both a front-wheel and all-wheel drive (called '4Motion'). There are four trim levels available: S, Wolfsburg, Sport, and SEL. Key safety features include front side airbags, side curtain airbags, antilock disc brakes and stability, and traction control. For the tech-savvy, the Tiguan includes a 6.3-inch touchscreen, VW's Car-Net App Connect (includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).
