The 2018 BMW 6 Series is part of the vehicle’s third generation. It is available as a sedan (Gran Turismo), two-door coupe, or convertible model. The lineup offers a range of engines: a 315-hp 3.0L inline-six for the 640i and a 445-hp 4.4L V8 for the 650i; there's also an M6 model with a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that produces 552-hp. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard across all trims. All models are available with all-wheel drive, except the M6. Standard features include BMW's iDrive infotainment system with a 10.2-inch display, navigation, and Apple CarPlay. Safety features include blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and a forward collision warning system with automatic braking. For 2018, the 6-series line saw the addition of the Gran Turismo body style, replacing the previous Gran Coupe.
