The 2018 Ford Fusion Energi is part of the second-generation Fusion lineup that has been in production since 2013. It offers a plug-in hybrid system with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, combined to put out 188 horsepower. The Energi operates with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and is based on a front-wheel drive platform. The Energi offers three trims – SE, Titanium, and Platinum. Its safety systems include Ford's Co-Pilot360, featuring automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and lane-keeping assist. As for the infotainment, it features Ford's Sync 3, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a premium Sony sound system on the Titanium and Platinum trims. The Fusion Energi boasts an electric-only range of 21 miles, a significant improvement over the previous model year.
