The 2018 Kia Sportage is a compact crossover SUV from its fourth generation lineup. It comes in three trims: LX, EX, and the sporty SX Turbo. The LX and EX trims feature a 2.4-liter 181 hp four-cylinder engine whereas the turbocharged SX Turbo houses a significantly more powerful 2.0-liter 240 hp four-cylinder one. All are equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and have the option of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The Sportage offers a 5-inch touch screen infotainment system, rearview camera, a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, and USB port as standard, though higher trims provide a larger 7- or 8-inch touch screen, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system. Safety features include Braking Assist, and Electronic Stability Control across all trims, but advanced features like blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking are reserved for the higher trims. This model year saw no drastic changes compared to its previous year.
