The 2019 Dodge Charger is a part of the 7th Generation initially launched in 2011. It's a RWD sports sedan with optional AWD in certain trims. Transmission is a standard 8-speed automatic across all trims. Available in five main trims: SXT, GT, R/T, Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat, the Charger offers four engine options: a 292-hp 3.6L V6 for SXT, a 300-hp 3.6L V6 for the GT and SXT with AWD, a 370-hp 5.7L V8 for the R/T, and a 485-hp 6.4L V8 for the Scat Pack. The SRT Hellcat trim tops the lineup with a 707-hp supercharged 6.2L V8. Key safety features include rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and advanced brake assist, with optional driver-assist technologies. The Uconnect infotainment system starts with a 7-inch touch screen in base trims with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Higher trims upgrade to an 8.4-inch touch screen, navigation, and a Beats audio system. Note-worthy is the Scat Pack trim's introduction of launch control and line lock for enhanced performance.
